We don’t list this brand yet, just snap a clear photo of the card and we’ll read the code.
Upload or snap a photo

Have a card we don’t list?
Proof before you part with the card.
Whether someone gifted you a card or you’re about to pass one on, a timestamped check proves it’s real and hasn’t already been used.
Check the balance
Enter the code or snap a photo. We confirm the card is real and show how much is left on it.
Save the proof
Get a timestamped receipt with the status and a verification ID you can keep or share.
Use it with confidence
Redeem, gift or trade it knowing exactly what it’s worth, with evidence ready if anyone claims otherwise.
How it works
Three steps, a few seconds, before you buy, sell or trade.
Pick the brand & enter the code
Choose the gift card, then type the code, or snap a photo and we’ll read it for you.
We check it
The card is verified against the brand’s system to confirm it’s real and active.
See the balance
Get the status and remaining balance instantly, proof you can trust before any trade.
Why a check is worth it
The most common scam in gift card trading is simple: the other side claims the card was “already used” the moment it lands in their hands, then disappears with both the card and your money.
A quick check gives you a timestamped record of the real balance, so you have something to show if anyone tries it. Verify, save the proof, then trade.

Frequently asked
Everything you need to know before you check a card.
Getting started
What does this tool do?
It tells you a gift card’s current balance and whether it’s still valid, before you buy, sell or trade it. No more “sorry, that card is already loaded” surprises.
How do I check a card?
Pick the brand, type the code (and PIN if that brand uses one), or upload a photo and we’ll read the code for you. Then tap Check Balance to see the status and remaining balance.
Do I need an account?
No. You can check a card straight from the homepage without signing up.
Is it free?
Checking a card is free. Some premium or bulk features may come later, but the basic balance check stays free.
Cards & codes
Which gift cards are supported?
Apple, Amazon, Visa, Mastercard, Google Play, Steam, Razer, eBay, Walmart, Sephora, PlayStation, Xbox, Netflix, Spotify, Roblox, Nike, Target, Starbucks, and more added regularly. See the full list on the Supported Cards page.
My brand isn’t listed, can I still check it?
Yes. Choose Other / Not listed and snap a clear photo of the card. We’ll read the code and, where possible, verify it or point you to the brand’s official checker.
Which cards need a PIN?
It depends on the brand. Visa, Mastercard, Walmart, Nike, Target and Starbucks need a PIN, security code or access number to check, that box appears automatically. A few, like Razer Gold and Sephora, only sometimes have one, so the PIN box is marked optional, leave it blank if your card doesn’t have a PIN. Cards like Apple don’t use a separate PIN at all.
Where do I find the code and PIN?
The code is usually under a scratch-off panel on the back of the card or on your email receipt. The PIN, when used, is the shorter number printed beside or below it.
Can I check a card from another country?
Many cards are region-locked by the issuer. We’ll show the balance where the provider supports it; otherwise we’ll tell you the card is for a different region.
Photos & scanning
How does the photo scan work?
Upload or snap a photo and the code is read on your own device. If the picture is blurry, too small or out of frame, we’ll ask you to retake it before checking.
The photo didn’t read my code, what now?
Fill the frame with the card, hold steady, and avoid glare and shadows. Then retake, or simply type the code into the field. Scratched panels are the usual culprit.
Privacy & trust
Is my card information safe?
Card codes are used only to check the balance and are never stored or shared. Photos you upload are processed on your own device, they never leave your browser.
Are you affiliated with Apple, Amazon or other brands?
No. Gift Card Checker is an independent tool and isn’t endorsed by any brand. All trademarks belong to their respective owners.
Why does it say “demo mode”?
The interface is fully live, but balance results are simulated for now. Real lookups switch on automatically once a provider API is connected on the backend.
I’m in a trade dispute, can this help?
Yes. Check the card and use the result as proof of the real balance. For anything else, reach out on the Support page.

Privacy Policy
Last updated June 18, 2026.
Gift Card Checker is built privacy-first. We designed the checker so that the sensitive parts of a gift card, its code, PIN and any photo you take, are handled on your own device wherever possible.
What we process
Card codes & PINs. A code or PIN you enter is used only to look up that card’s balance and validity. It is not sold, shared, or used to advertise to you.
Photos. When you upload or snap a photo, the image is read in your browser to extract the code. The photo itself never leaves your device and is not uploaded to our servers.
Verification receipts. When you create a shareable proof of status, the details are encoded into the link you choose to share. We don’t publish it for you, it’s shared only when and where you send it.
What we don’t do
We don’t require an account to check a card. We don’t store your card numbers, and we don’t sell personal data to anyone.
Analytics & cookies
We use only what’s needed to keep the site running and improve it. We don’t use third-party advertising trackers.

Terms of Use
Last updated June 18, 2026.
By using Gift Card Checker you agree to these terms. Please read them before relying on a result.
What the service is
Gift Card Checker helps you confirm a gift card’s balance and validity, and create a timestamped proof of that status to share. It is an independent tool and is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by Apple, Amazon, Visa, or any gift card brand.
Use it honestly
Only check cards you own or are authorized to verify. Don’t use the service to test, guess, or harvest codes you don’t hold. Automated or bulk abuse is not permitted.
Accuracy & demo mode
While in demo mode, results are simulated and must not be relied on for a real transaction. Once live lookups are enabled, a balance is accurate at the moment it is checked and can change at any time. Always re-check immediately before you send a card.
No liability for trades
A verification receipt is evidence of what we saw at a point in time. It does not guarantee the other party’s conduct, and we’re not responsible for losses from any trade or dispute.
Changes
We may update these terms as the product develops. Continued use means you accept the current version.
These are placeholder terms for a product in development and will be finalized before live lookups are enabled.
